3 Day Diet Results

Beginning Weight: 158lbs

Ending Weight: 149.5lbs

Total Weight Loss: 8.5lbs

For the next four days I will be monitoring my calories via SparkPeople. Its a free site and very useful. Then I will start the three day diet all over again. Here is the entire diet below and the blog I got it from.

Day 1


Breakfast Menu

1 slice of Toast ( I went with Whole Wheat)
2 Tlbs of Peanut Butter
Half a Grapefruit (I thought I had picked up Ruby Red...so wrong)
Tea or Coffee (As you can see I had just a smidge of creamer)


Lunch Menu

1 slice of Toast (again I went with wheat)
1/2 cup of Tuna (one can drained)
Coffee or Tea (I went with iced coffee with a little creamer)


Dinner Menu

3oz of any meat
1 cup of green beans
1 small apple
1/2 banana
1 cup of vanilla ice cream
Water


Day 2


Breakfast Menu


1 slice of Toast
1 Egg (it doesn't specify what kind)
1/2 Banana
Water (no coffee or tea allowed today or tomorrow)


Lunch Menu


1 cup of Cottage Cheese
5 Saltine Crackers
1 Hard Boiled Egg
Water


Dinner Menu


1 cup of Broccoli
1/2 cup of Carrots
2 Hot Dogs ( no buns)
1/2 cup of Ice Cream
1/2 Banana

Day 3


Breakfast Menu


1 Small Apple
1 Slice of Cheddar Cheese
5 Saltine Crackers
Water


Lunch Menu


1 Slice of Toast
1 Boiled Egg
Water


Dinner Menu


1 Cup of Tuna
1 Cup Ice Cream

I'll have to admit this feels like a lot longer than 3 days.  I didn't expect to see very good results. The blog claimed I could lose up to 10lbs in 3 days and I lowered my expectations to about 3 pounds. My expectations were really blown out of the water and now i'm thinking I should have taken before and afters. However, I don't feel lighter and I don't think I look it to be honest.  I can note a few differences. Before the diet I felt that the elastic on my undergarments was getting too tight and I'd have to go up another size. Now they feel comfortable and they way I remember them feeling quite a while ago.  So here is my day 3 weigh in and i'll also post a result page tomorrow with my final weight and then after the 4 days of break i'll do this all over again.

Day 3 Breakfast



Menu

1 Small Apple
1 Slice of Cheddar Cheese
5 Saltine Crackers
Water

I can honestly admit I'm not as hungry as I was and usually when lunch comes around I have to make myself eat, but its important to eat everything they tell you because too little calories and you'll loose nothing.

This meal actually worked really well for the whole family. I'm not going to lie though, I"M STARVING! lol. Tomorrow will be much worse though. Only one more day!

Day 2 Dinner


Menu

1 cup of Broccoli
1/2 cup of Carrots
2 Hot Dogs ( no buns)
1/2 cup of Ice Cream
1/2 Banana

It does not specify cooked or uncooked for the veggies so I just steamed them. For the rest of the family I took out my 1/2 cup of Carrots and made an Orange Ginger Sauce for the Carrots.

So I really did lose 7 pounds of water weight which is nice but I worry about the 4 days that your suppose to take a break.  Anyways this was lunch.

Couldn't sleep last nite and hoping it doesn't throw off my diet plan if I take an extra long nap today while my hubby's home. :)

So I weighed in again this morning and either one of 3 things happened:
1.) I'm super human and actually lost 7 pounds
2.) I retain water like nobody's business or
3.) I broke my scale

So i'm recording my weigh in from this morning but will weigh again around lunch time when I get up from my  nap.

I steamed my green beans and only seasoned my chicken with Mrs. Dash. Its actually a lot to eat! I will exercise later on to target my problem areas and see how tomorrow goes.

Day 1 Weigh In: 158lbs (from early this morning)

Day 1 Lunch




Menu

1 slice of Toast (again I went with wheat)
1/2 cup of Tuna (one can drained)
Coffee or Tea (I went with iced coffee with a little creamer)

So what I did was toasted my bread on the flat iron with a little spray vegetable oil and seasoned it with 
Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb. The site tells you that you can use salt and pepper so I figured Mrs. Dash was as good as anything.  Then I placed the tuna on top along with some more Mrs. Dash. I cheated a lil a sprinkled 1 Tlbs of Parmesan cheese which was 20 calories. It actually tasted pretty good. My coffee was really weak but I don't have to drink anymore for the rest of the three days which I'm very happy about.

So I am trying this diet I saw on Pinterest that claims you can loose 10lbs in 3 days. Normally I don't go for what seems like a very bold and unlikely claim, however since I was able to read over 4 years worth of comments on the blog I thought why not? After hitting my all time weight of 160lbs at this point anything is worth trying and especially something that won't cost me a ton of money. I believe the purpose of the Tea of Coffee is that caffeinated as you will have it at lunch as well and then water for the next two days.  I would have picked tea however I did not have any caffeinated tea. I did not substitute anything as I really don't have a huge problem with any of the choices.
